Day after day, if you want to think about life when you are down or broken, think about the people out there who would have been better off if they were to be in your situation. The ups and downs are boundaries of life but they cannot be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in you in the future. In today’s article, I will be writing about a young boy called Joshua who is an orphan and living in extreme poverty. The bible says we should teach the children the way they should go and when they grow, they will not depart from it. The only thing that Joshua knows in this life is hunger and how he will die one day in hunger as a result of poverty.
This is the touching story of Joshua who has been living in a slum the whole of his life. He is an orphan and is currently living with a neighbor who has three children. Joshua does not recall any moment with his biological parents. This woman adopted Joshua when she realized that he needed help but her extreme poverty does not make her do much. She is a mother of three and does not have any qualifications to get her a better job. The whole of her family together with Joshua somethings depends on 1 dollar a day for a living and sometimes this innocent boy starves to bed.
How Joshua wished he would have a normal life like any other children he sees around every day but poverty is that barrier holding every aspect of his life. Joshua wishes he can go to school and become someone great in the future but still stands as a barrier. The life of Joshua is a life of hell on earth. When it is night, there is no light in this slum and according to some people in this slam, many have been abused, and most young girls below the age of 14, have been raped. Who knows the night of abuse of Joshua?
This young boy Joshua is stuck in poverty and he has no chance to run. what did he do wrong? nothing! It is not the fault of this innocent young-looking boy but was not lucky to born by middle-class parents nor a well-to-do family and sadly enough, Joshua is an orphan.
Is there someone to walk on earth as Jesus did to cause light to pierce in darkness to change this catastrophic situation of Joshua? When you pray in your closest , remember this poor boy, Joshua.
