A huge number of dolphin look-alike mammals washed ashore at Axim

Dolphins Washed Ashore At Axim
Axim is one of the coastal towns in Ghana and the capital of Nzema East Municipal district, a district in the Western Region. The Region is endowed with beaches of which Brawire is one of them. Just yesterday, 4th April 2021, something strange hit the shore of Brawire.
According to new posts (photos) that were circulating on Facebook, a shoal of dolphin look-like mammals have washed ashore at Brawire. Many suspected that the cause of these dead dolphins was as a result of a poisonous substance been released into the sea, but what rendered a large number of dolphins dead is unknown now.
Quite a number of fishermen who chanced on these lifeless creatures could not wait for health workers to arrive at the scene to bring solutions to the problem rather, they took advantage of this to make money by cutting these creatures into pieces and selling them off to fishmongers at a cheaper price.
A resident, identified as Raphael Eshun, who witnessed the scene said he saw more of the dolphins close to the seashore and he thinks more of them would be washed ashore today. He narrated that, the dolphins were many and that, they have changed the colour of the seawater in the area.
In view of this, environmental officials from EPA ( Environmental Protection Agency) in the community are trying their best possible to prevent members of the public from purchasing the dolphins or from having close contacts with them since it is still not clear what is killing and causing them to be washed ashore. Meanwhile, samples of these motionless creatures have been taken away for laboratory examination.
